Ok. Now I'm ready for winter. Mostly.

Really, can you blame me?  With flower combinations like this, who wouldn't be excited for winter.  It snowed a little today and I found myself a little giddy as I pulled on a pair of fabulous boots before heading out the door to a wedding set up at Sundance.  The bright blue sky, the snow in the mountains and the bare aspens reminded me of a wedding from last year...one of my favorite couples and one of my favorite weddings...

I was fortunate enough to work with Andrea, the bride, for several months before the big day.  This is such a great representation of the collaborative efforts between bride and florist.  I had so much fun working with Andrea and her beautiful ideas meshed so well with what I had envisioned for her. I love the final result.  Strategically placed modern drum chandeliers contrasted beautifully with the rustic farm tables.  I LOVE contrast. A soft color palette with organic elements like cotton and sparrow feathers gave additional warmth to the space.  I must admit, with design details and florals coordinated by artisan bloom and Andrea's thoughtful, personal touches, we made kind of a killer team.
Andrea, I kind of want you to marry Porter again so we can plan another wedding together.

fabCollab with Artisan Bloom, Soiree Productions and Sparkle Photography

Some of my favorite images from our photo shoot at Sundance.   Watch for more images in 'Rustic Chic Weddings' book scheduled for publication in 2012!  So exciting!
At this shoot, I had the good fortune of working with Kristin with Soiree Productions and one of my favorite photographers, Sarah from Sparkle Photography.  I've been a fan of her work for years and this shoot was no exception.  Beautiful images Sarah!
When Kristin gave me the color palette and asked that I provide the floral arrangements, the wheels began turning.  Hmmmm.... Cobalt and tangerine.  Cobalt and tangerine.  Cobalt and Tangerine.  We decided to keep it young and fresh with a nod to the organic.  Great job Sarah!  Great job Kristin aaaaaaaaand Great job ME!
Hope you enjoy!

Seriously??? It's snowing??

I don't mind the snow.  Really.  Just not in early October.  I'm just not ready for it yet.  Give me a few weeks to enjoy the beautiful fall season.  It is after all, the best season.  Just give me until the end of the month, mother nature.  That's all I ask.  For now.
In protest of the unusually cold weather today, as I sit here all wrapped up in cashmere puffiness, I'm posting a few more of my summer faves.  Enjoy!

These are the designs we put together for the beautiful Daelyn.  Daelyn is teeny so we wanted something that wasn't too overpowering.  I love the softness of this wedding. Perfect for the season and the beautiful Sundance Resort. The images were captured by Alix Loosle...I think her work is stunning!

Pink was was hot this summer.  I'm always a sucker for pink so no complaints here. This wedding was a collaboration of minds between the lovely bride, her sweet mom, the talents at the fabulous Soiree Productions and myself.  We should do this more often.  The end result...amazing!

*sigh* how pretty is the St. Regis?

Summer white.  It never gets old.  I love it!  This is a small but beautiful wedding we worked on at Deer Valley Resort.  I can't wait to get the professional images from the photographer but for now you'll have see them through the eyes of my iphone.

aaaaand back to Sundance.  I really do think it's such an inspiring place.  There's something so authentic about it.  This is another collaborative design concept...I love how it all came together

I LOOOOOVE the way her bouquet came together.  In fact, I loved it so much, I used it in my ad for Utah Bride and Groom magazine

clever, right?
Anyway, back to Rio's wedding at Sundance...love it.  Loved the blue washed accents and the natural elements.

SUMMER 2010

Some of my favorites from last summer...
whether it's a request for a simple bridal bouquet

Or providing the floral elements for a bride with a strong vision and lots of fun D.I.Y projects

Summer of 2010 held requests for the traditional crisp summer white

to contemporary cool tones with modern lines

From bold colors, a little outside the box

to luscious, juicy shades that sing 'summer'

Summer 2010 introduced me to the most amazing brides, fun new textures and new found appreciation for the classic.
